From “where do I start?” to “one more!”

A page. A few questions. A little progress.

01 / Bring your material

Start with your page

Take a photo of a textbook page, choose one from your photos, or type in your own word pairs.

02 / Find your focus

Make it yours

Tavuto uses AI to turn the page into vocabulary cards or quiz questions. Look through the cards before practising.

03 / Practise a little

Have a go

Pick an answer, see how you did, and try the next one. Share a deck with a friend using a simple code.

Two ways to get curious

New words. New things to know.

Vocabulary cards

Find the right words.

Practise vocabulary in either direction. Choose your study languages, add your own words, and keep your cards together.

Textbook quizzes

Give the chapter a go.

Turn a textbook page into multiple-choice questions about what’s on it. A small way to revisit a big subject.

Which planet is known as the red planet?

For learners. And the people cheering them on.

Schoolwork, with a lighter touch.

We’re making Tavuto for school-age learners, especially ages 7–15. Familiar material, playful practice, and a nickname of their own. No email or password needed to get started in the app.

AI can make mistakes. Check generated cards against the textbook, with an adult’s help when needed.

Questions?

A few things you might be wondering.

Can I download Tavuto yet?

Not yet. We’re preparing the iOS and Android apps for release. This page gives you a first look, and the sample question above is ready to try.

Is it only for learning Finnish?

No. The app interface is available in English and Finnish, while vocabulary cards have their own source and target languages. Textbook quizzes use the language of the photographed page.

What happens to textbook photos?

Photos are sent to an AI service to read the page. Tavuto keeps the resulting cards, not the photo, in its backend. More detail about providers and data handling will be available before the app launches.

Does my child need an account?

The app creates an anonymous account with a generated nickname. No email, password or real name is needed. Account recovery is still in development, so losing the session can mean losing access to saved cards.

How much will it cost?

Pricing is still being decided. We’ll publish the details when Tavuto is ready to download.
